The Minister for Education, Matthew Prempeh, announced that 45 ministry staff he oversees screened for the deadly coronavirus disease in Ghanaia were positive.
According to GhanaWeb, Prempeh said that mass tests were carried out on ministry workers the second time that his findings were positive.
He also said 45 of the 50 workers tested positive and asymptomatic for the virus.
“Following my second positive results, all the ministry employees were tested and the results revealed that about 45 out of every 50 people had contracted the virus.
“Many are asymptomatic and isolate at home,” he said.
In addition, he said that his COVID-19 experience at the University of Ghana was not pleasant when admitted.
“I was never admitted to the hospital before for 52 years of my life, so it wasn’t an enjoyable experience.
“The disease is very real and I don’t even wish it to my enemy,” he said
