McMahon who was also a wrestling promoter and became popular for administering capitol wrestling corporation from 1954 to 1982 before he was succeeded by Kennedy his son.
Jess McMahon started by hosting wrestling matches in New York City in the 1920s before there was the official WWE. After his death in 1954, his son Vincent, subsequently took over the reins of Capitol Wrestling Corporation, his father’s wrestling promotion company.
